(0) Enlarging the playing field is key I think. There are always multiple teams utilizing the area for practices, which would give everyone a little more room. When my boys are practicing for FNL there are 3 teams practicing at once and usually one team throwing around baseballs as well. I also think that it is key to keep the playground on this side of the street and NOT move it to the tennis court side. Due to the fact that families with little ones who attend the park on a weekly basis while their older kids are attending practice, it is crucial that parents be able to watch their smaller children on the playground and ensure that their older kids are still safe. In regards to the play equipment on the playground, I LOVE the idea of a tot lot as well as an "older" kids play structure. The current structure that is there has a HUGE hole at the top and I have personally seen 2 very small kids fall right through it all the way to the ground. It is VERY unsafe!!! More shade over the playground area, like the sun sails shown in the diagram would be great!!! 04/19/2016 no no yes

(9) I like the configuration of the park as it used to be before the current park...this design indicates that. The claim that it won't work is false. The picnic tables and the playground area seem to be where they should be. The walkway also satisfies those walkers from one side of park to another without killing the needed field for sports. I do not see why anyone would complain about the designed walkway or the fields....good job designers...you really listened. It is appreciated by the residents in this house! I do hope the equipment is for age range 5-12:) 04/25/2016 no no yes
yes 0.1 Enhance landscaping and trees., Improve or enlarge playground., Improve existing basketball court., New picnic tables., New restrooms, Reroute Basswood Street and Aster Street to enlarge the park., Add another basketball court., Add on-site parking., Larger lawn / playing field. (0) The Proposed Multipurpose Field does not work here. It's just too big for the site and introduces safety concerns by locating a sports field so close to live traffic. The cost involved with relocating the playground structure and reducing the play area to make room for a poorly thought out sports field is not justified. Bluebell Park needs more tree canopies to provide shade. Also, maintenance of the grass area out has been spotty. I've enjoyed walking to the park with my toddlers over the past few years and watching them grow and explore the park. I don't support the idea of reducing - or de-prioritizing - the family aspects of the park to make room for an unwieldy organized sports field. A small community center would be a welcome addition to the Tennis Club. 06/27/2016 no no yes
