What is a Vote Center?
Beginning in 2020, Los Angeles County will transition from polling places to Vote Centers. Voters will be able to go to any Vote Center in the County to vote in person. Vote Centers will be open for up to 10 days before Election Day for a minimum of 8 hours/day, and on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. At every Vote Center you can:
- Vote in person
- Vote with an accessible voting machine
- Register and vote on the same day
- Drop off your vote by mail ballot
- Get help and voting materials in multiple languages
What is a Ballot Drop-off Location?
Ballot Drop-off locations will provide a secure, accessible ballot box that is open at least during regular business hours beginning at least 28 days before the election.
Vote Centers and Ballot Drop-off Locations should be determined in consideration of:
- Accessibility to voters with disabilities (clear accessible path of travel, free of abrupt changes in level or slope)
- Location in proximity to population centers
